The paper’s Theorem 2 proves nine equilibria for small |λ|, their asymptotics (ŵ(·)), and the linear-polarization symmetry, using a reduction X(y(x))x = r, phase factoring, and IFT-based expansions; the candidate solution reproduces the same reduction and expansions (including the exact coefficients ŵ(0), ŵ(l), ŵ(r), ŵ(x), ŵ(y)) and the same symmetry result, differing mainly in presentation (direct 2×2 real system in radii and sign bookkeeping) rather than substance.
Referee report (LaTeX)
\textbf{Recommendation:} minor revisions
\textbf{Journal Tier:} strong field
\textbf{Justification:}
The main theorem for weak injection is proved cleanly, with explicit expansions and symmetry, and is consistent with the model’s physics. The approach—phase normalization, reduction to a real system, and IFT expansions—is rigorous and self-contained, and later sections complement it with the strong-injection regime. Minor clarifications (notation, roadmap, cross-references) would further improve readability.
